I am super excited to share a NEW kids book with you all that is the perfect book to add to your child’s book collection and that your little one’s will surely enjoy and love and it is titled Pony Express by author Carla Crane Osborne. I happen to be a huge fan of Carla ever since having the chance to read her book Under the Barnyard Light, which my God Daughter Scarlet reads almost every night before bed. Scarlet and I also love tuning in to Carla’s Gona’s Reading Ranch You Tube Channel whenever we have a few minutes to spare and tune in and listen to the newest books added to the channel. Carla reads aloud to the kiddos and it is always a blast and Scarlet loves tuning in and I enjoy the quality time spent with my favorite little lady. Make sure to check out my review of Under The Barnyard Light which is the prequel to Pony Express & tune in to Gona’s Reading Ranch today but first…let me share my love of author Carla Crane Osborne’s newest kids book… Pony Express which my little Scarlet is totally loving!

Let me start by telling you all about my love of books & reading and why I make sure to instill that love of reading with my own kids, including my God Daughter Scarlet. My love of reading really is all due to the fact that my mom encouraged it when I was growing up, as she was an avid reader herself. Her encouraging me to read and providing me with a fabulous collection of books when I was growing up, was everything to me and it’s the reason I set out to do the same with my own kids. I would much rather them read and play outdoors versus watching TV and playing video games and instilling that love of reading early with amazing children’s books like Pony Express is the key.

Pony Express is a follow up to author Carla Crane Osborn’s book Under The Barnyard Light. The saga of Under The Barnyard Light continues with a new series entitled Go Gona Go and this new addition titled Pony Express is Scarlets new favorite.

Pony Express is now Scarlet’s favorite bedtime book. If we get to reading early enough before bed, she requests that we read both books from Carla’s collection……starting with Under The Barnyard Light and finishing with Pony Express.

The illustrations are absolutely beautiful too and helps to carry the story of Pony Express beautifully. For kids it is all about those illustrations and Carla and her illustrator Brandon Doorman do not disappoint. When we read Carla’s newest book Pony Express together for the first time that was her favorite part…. the colorful and detailed illustrations.

Pony Express is all about older brother and younger sister galloping off on their horses to play Pony Express on the ranch, after completing all of their chores. They enjoy adventures with the horses with the younger sister leading the way for the Pony Express game by the books end. It is lots of fun and for me and Scarlet the perfect book to read at bed time.
