Easy Ways To Pamper Yourself

There are times when you feel stressed or the day hasn’t gone well, that you might want to relax and have some time to yourself. The problem is that with so many distractions around you, it can be difficult to find even five minutes. If you are looking to relax, there is no better way than to give yourself a home spa. Here are some tips that will ensure you get it just right.

Make Some Time

One of the biggest hurdles to having a spa at home is getting the time to yourself. To combat this, try to arrange some ‘me’ time with your partner or perhaps a family member. Ask your partner or family friend if they can look after the kids for an hour while you relax. You can take turns having the kids so that you can both benefit from some free time. Schedule it into your day so you can arrange everything in advance, and you don’t accidentally double book yourself. The last important thing is to make sure you turn off your mobile phone and your tablet as you need a total social media free time to truly relax yourself.

Take a Nice Bubble Bath

Few people don’t like laying in a nice bubble bath relaxing in the warm water. Baths can be especially pampering if you normally only have time for a shower, and it can release a lot of tension. The type of bubbles you use is up to you; some prefer to use bath bombs or bath cream instead, it doesn’t matter as long as it is something you like. Along with the bath, have some nice candles around the room and perhaps read a book or listen to some music. Whatever allows you to relax and unwind is a good idea. If you want to take it that one step further, then have you considered purchasing a hot tub? You can easily get one like these hot tubs denver colorado or from a store that is closer to you and they can give you the most perfect relaxation session ever, way better than a nice bubble bath (although there is nothing wrong with that)! If you’ve got the space in your garden, you might want to consider getting one, and then this way you can relax at home, whilst you watch the sunset! Nothing else could compare.

Apply a Face Mask

You can now get some nice face masks in the stores that are effective at removing dead skin and dirt while making your face feel refreshed and clean. If you apply the mask while you are still in the tub, then the steam and the warm water will add to the effects of the mask. If you don’t feel like a full-on mask, then try using a facial scrub instead as it can have similar results without taking a lot of time. There are many face masks & scrubs that are especially created for women as well and ensuring a fabulous skin care routine is a must.

Don’t Forget to Moisturize

After your bath, don’t forget to use good body butter to help moisturize your skin. If you apply it to your skin while it’s still damp, it will help to retain more moisture and make your skin feel even softer. It is important to take care of your whole body as sometimes your feet, hands, and face can get neglected. Even if your bath cream has added moisturizers included, you should still add more moisturizer after your bath.

Some people think that they don’t deserve to be pampered, or that they don’t have the time. The truth is that everyone can have a nice spa time at home, they just need to create some time for it.

Any of these sounds good to me. After a long illness, I’m trying to learn to walk, do for myself again, so stress is an every day thing.

I have started taking epsom salt baths once a week. This has become my time. I’m going to add your other advice of face masks too. This would really halt the stress.

Oh, to be able to have the time to pamper myself! The best I can do – but at least I can do it everyday – is to do something in the shower. Examples: dry brush, mask on my hair, close my eyes and count to 100 while breathing in steam. At least this is something!
