The Many Benefits Of CBD Oil & Why It Is Not What You Expect

I am a huge fan of natural remedies, especially natural remedies that have multiple uses which is the reason I needed to share the many benefits of CBD oil with everyone that I know. If you are unsure of what CBD oil (or cannabidiol) is, it is a prominent compound found in cannabis that has been shown to treat numerous diseases and health conditions with positive results. If you’re new to all this, it might be in your best interest to do some research into hemp oil vs cbd oil, as this can help you identify the difference and the potential benefits this could have on your health.

You may have heard about CBD oil in the news recently as the medical use of marijuana has brought much attention to the subject of using cannabis-derived products for health, but I really wanted to share this post to ensure everyone understands how CBD oil is different. The key difference that I need to point out is that CBD does not have mind-altering effects like THC and comes from a completely different part of the marijuana plant itself. CBD oil is also different from hemp seed oil as the two are made from different parts of the plant. Premium hemp seed oil is extracted from the actual seed and CBD oil is extracted from the leaves, flowers, and stalk of hemp.

More and more, research is showing that CBD products like CBD hemp oil capsules are extremely helpful at reducing many ailments that affect so many people each and every day and with amazing results. Now let’s check out the many proven benefits of CBD oil:

1. Relief for Chronic Pain

CBD Oil products – similar to this michigan organic rub – are the perfect option for anyone that suffers from chronic pain. Those suffering from chronic pain caused by diseases like fibromyalgia are finding relief with CBD. Taking CBD oil can offer pain relief and can also prevent nervous system degeneration. Buying CBD oils at Pure Relief, for example, provides easier access for people who cannot make it to a medical dispensary due to the pains they may be suffering.

In fact, it has been approved in Canada for multiple sclerosis and cancer pain and the best part is that CBD doesn’t cause dependence or tolerance, so it’s a fabulous choice for those trying to stay away from opioids.

On a personal note, my sister-in-law suffers from chronic pain herself and has been taking CBD oil for relief versus taking the medications that her doctors have prescribed in the past. The results for her have been phenomenal and she is so very happy that she can actually do the things that she loves without any of the negative side effects that she has suffered from in the past via the prescribed medications that she used to take. She purchases CBD Gummies now to get her daily dose of CBD oil and just loves the results with no negative effects.

2. Reduces Anxiety and Depression

Research shows that CBD oil can help with both Anxiety and Depression. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, depression affects 6% and anxiety affects 18% of the U.S. population each year and it seems to be an ever-growing issue that we hear about more and more. CBD oil has been shown to reduce depression by enhancing both the serotonergic & glutamate cortical signaling, both of which are lacking in those that suffer from depression. If this is something you can relate to, you may want to do a quick google search into something like knox dispensary, in the hopes of finding effective ways of managing the symptoms of depression/anxiety with CBD products.

CBD has also been shown to reduce levels of stress and anxiety in those suffering from conditions such as PTSD, social anxiety disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder and has even been shown to reduce the stress and discomfort surrounding public speaking.

3. Reduces Inflammation

Chronic inflammation is a big problem today and is a major contributor to many non-infectious diseases including heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, autoimmune disease, and more, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information. Lifestyle and diet do play a huge part in chronic inflammation but when folks are already eating a healthy, nutrient-dense diet and living a healthy lifestyle that includes plenty of sleep and exercise, then CBD oil can help. Research also shows that CBD oil can reduce chronic inflammation that leads to disease.

4. Reduces Oxidative Stress

Oxidative stress is responsible for many of the ailments that people suffer from today. If you are unsure of what Oxidative Stress is, it is when the body contains too many free radicals and it cannot keep up with the neutralizing of them via antioxidants. This is more of a problem now than in the past because our environment is much more toxic than in the past. A 2010 study shows that CBD oil acts as an antioxidant and another study found CBD has neuroprotective qualities. So CBD can reduce neurological damage caused by free radicals which is simply amazing.

5. Promotes Healthy Weight

Cannabidiol can help maintain healthy blood sugar and stimulate genes and proteins that helps break down fat all while increasing the mitochondria that helps to burn calories. CBD also encourages the body to convert white fat into brown fat. White fat is the kind of fat we typically think of when we think about body fat in general and Brown fat is fat that is found in small deposits and behaves differently than white fat. Brown fat is said to improve health by enhancing the bodies ability to burn white fat, create heat, and even regulate blood sugar.

6. Improves Heart Health

It is no secret to anyone that heart disease is a growing problem today as it is the leading cause of death in the United States. A healthy diet and lifestyle is a top priority for heart health, but CBD oil can also help. According to research cannabidiol reduces artery blockage, reduces stress induced cardiovascular response, and can reduce blood pressure. It may also reduce cholesterol and as mentioned earlier, CBD oil is helpful in preventing inflammation and oxidative stress which are often precursors to heart disease.

7. Improves Skin Conditions

CBD oil can also be used topically and there are many products available today for the skin that contain CBD oil. Studies show that CBD oil has a high potential for treating skin conditions like eczema by encouraging abnormal cell death and it can also help regulate the skin’s oil production, reducing acne for those that suffer from that condition. CBD also contains many nutrients like vitamin E that help improve and protect the skin as well.

8. Fights Multi-Drug Resistant Bacteria

Researchers have recently discovered that cannabinoids (including CBD) have an unusual ability to destroy bacteria, especially drug-resistant strains. More research is needed to find out how and why it works but a
2011 study found that CBD can also slow the progression of tuberculosis in rats. Researchers concluded that CBD is likely able to do this by inhibiting T-cell proliferation, rather than possessing antibacterial properties.
Whatever the mechanism is for destroying the bacteria, CBD seems to be an amazing weapon against the antibiotic resistant “superbugs” that have become more and more of a problem today.

9. Fights Cancer

CBD oil’s role in cancer treatment still needs more research which is ongoing, but what research has been done looks promising. According to the American Cancer Society, CBD oil can slow the growth and spread of some kinds of cancer in animals. Because it fights oxidative stress and inflammation (and both are linked to cancer) it makes sense that CBD oil could help fight cancer cells. This is simply amazing and I have personal stories of friends that were diagnosed, went through treatments, are now cancer free and taking CBD oil to prevent any reoccurrence and they swear by it.

So what are your thoughts after reading all of the many benefits of CBD oil as a supplement? Keep in mind that a healthy diet and lifestyle should always be first on your list to improved health, but CBD oil can most definitely help build on that foundation and be extremely useful to many. I have personally used CBD oil when I suffered from inflammation and pain in my joints after a vigorous workout or two and it did indeed help to alleviate my ailments but I do not use regularly as I have not needed it. My husband on the other hand has begun using CBD oil in the form of CBD Gummies to help with the pain that he suffers from in terms of chronic lower back pain after years of construction work that have done a number on his body. I am happy to say that he has seen results in the form of relief which is huge for him and makes me very happy. CBD oil is a fabulous natural remedy for many of the ailments that many suffer from today, so it is worth looking into more if it sounds like something that you can use.

I’m going to try this. I have ulcerative colitis, which is made worse due to inflammation. I wonder if this might help. It can’t hurt to try.

There are absolutely SO many benefits to CBD Oil and I think that it is an amazing product! I really appreciate this post that explains to others just how many health issues it can help with. I personally have Rheumatoid Arthritis and other health issues due to it. I choose not to take a pill that has worst side effects than my disease.

I use CBD oil at a low dose daily for its benefits against inflammation and pain as I have multiple disabling autoimmune diseases which not only disabled me, but in my early-40s. Within a year of beginning using CBD, and later adding oral THC too, I have been able to cut my break-through pain medication usage in half, quit taking klonipin and, for good measure, quit smoking. Oh yeah, had a knee replaced 6-weeks ago. Reported no pain when kept on my current regimen with NO additional medications.

I have CBD oil but it’s hard to see if it works. I’m terrible at taking it consistently so I can’t tell if it works yet.

I have to say that I have used cannabis for years, both THC and CBD, and my life would not have continued due to chronic pain without it. I highly recommend that you try it, but do also recommend that you do so with a prescription and under the care of a doctor.

I have taken it on occasion to combat anxiety but I have heard it needs to be taken daily to get the full effect. I have been researching the oil and different brands to find the one I think is best for me. I am hoping and expecting great results once I try adding it to my daily routine.

Yep, it’s definitely something you have to take daily and not an actual long-term “cure” or anything like that. But just so you know there are many different ways of taking it, so if you’re finding one method difficult to add to your daily routine you might take a look at the other ones.
