MY REVIEW

Book #6:  Theo, Young Prince of Harlem (The Doggos)

Theo, Young Prince of Harlem is a heartwarming addition to S.K. Edwards’ Doggos series, designed for readers aged 7–10. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book and I will be collecting this series to gift to my niece. The newest book…..Theo, Young Prince Of Harlem is a story set in the vibrant neighborhood of Harlem, New York, the story follows 10-year-old Theo, a compassionate dog walker with a special bond to his canine companions. When Theo meets Madame Zuzu, a fortuneteller, her prophecy sets him on a path to becoming the “Young Prince of Harlem.”

The narrative beautifully intertwines themes of friendship, perseverance, and self-discovery. Theo’s journey is enriched by his loyal friends, José and Marcia, and his deep connection with the dogs he cares for. The story encourages young readers to trust their instincts and embrace their unique qualities.

Illustrated with magical iPad paintings, the book captures the essence of Harlem’s spirit and the special bond between children and dogs. At the end, readers are provided with tips on developing and trusting their intuition, adding an interactive element to the story.

Theo, Young Prince of Harlem is a delightful read that not only entertains but also imparts valuable life lessons, making it a must-read for young readers and a must-have addition to any child’s library.
