They gave a fact that I have always wanted to know about storing a wood cutting board. Store your wood cutting board on end to dry if it is damp. If your cutting board is already dry, store it flat in a dry area away from extreme hot or cold temperatures

I have a butcher block island. I learned that if you want your wooden block to stay fresh and last a long time, you have to keep the block conditioned with wood polish or it will dry out and crack. This qualifies for the wooden butcher block islands from JohnBoos & Co. also. Gorgeous
