We all know that healthcare is essential and that ensuring that you have good healthcare coverage, is something that we all must have to ensure that we are living our healthiest and most productive lives. The sad thing is that there are way to many people out there that do not have the proper coverage that they need so that they can visit the primary doctor or specialist. Either they have no healthcare coverage, they cannot afford it or they are simply unsure of how to get it. For these reasons, I had to share that there are various resources available for people to help them with the healthcare needs, including Medicare. Medicare is available for you if you are 65 and over, have a permanent disability, or if you have chronic injuries or an End-Stage disease.
I did some research last month to help my parents as they are at the age to qualify for Medicare. My mom tends to neglect her health due to cost concerns as my parents are now on a set income and they have little left over at the end of each month. My mom, in turn, avoids going to the doctor because she is worried about the costs and the bills that will possibly accrue. I worry about her not getting the care that she needs which is why I looked into Medicare for her.
First I have to say that there are a lot of misconceptions about Medicare out there. Even so the reality is that Medicare is something that is available to everyone at a particular stage of life, like when you turn 65 and it can truly be a life saver for so many. Medicare can not only cover emergency care but depending on the plan you select you can pay little or nothing for things like Doctors Visits, Hospital Stays, Prescription Drugs, Preventative & Screening Services, Dental Care, Eyeglasses & Contacts, Hearing Aids & Over-The-Counter Drugs.
My mom & dad are now covered by Medicare and my mom has been to the doctor which means everything to me. She now has Medicare on her and my dad’s side and they can get all of the care they need without having to worry about the bills piling up. My Mom is now visiting her doctor for her hernia issues and also for her eye care which is of the utmost importance to me, as she is the most important woman in my life and I want her feeling her best.
There is no better time for you to look into and to sign up for Medicare, especially since everyone is still dealing with effects of COVID and also the flu season. If you prefer to speak with an actual person, Walmart Insurance has you covered there too. The best part is that Walmart provides this amazing service for anyone that needs it and I just love Walmart… always have an always will. I am there multiple times a week grabbing groceries and any of my home care needs and now… it is truly a one-stop-shop with Walmart’s Pharmacy as you can get the help you need for your Medicare plans, fill your prescriptions and also receive your Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines while there.
