How To Be an Organized Mom with a Busy Life
Day to day life can soon fly by when you’re busy. It’s not unusual to forget to do the most mundane of tasks. Doing the dishes slips your mind or even taking out the trash. It’s completely normal, though, and in no way is it worth blaming yourself over. Being busy in general can be a hectic ordeal but being busy as well as having a child is a completely different ballpark.
When It All Seems Hopeless
Having children shouldn’t stop you from wanting to excel in your career; it’s doable. It’s all about balance, time management, and staying organized. You’ve got to be strict with yourself and know when to stop. You probably feel like you’re all over the place some days, and sometimes the way you organize things can reflect that. Keeping on top of house chores and making sure specific sections of your home remain organized can be difficult in the first place, let alone with the responsibilities of children on top of that. It seems impossible, but it’s not.
Chores, Chores, and More Chores!
Divide your week into sections and what chores need doing. Then, look at delegating some of them. Is there anybody else in the house that can take over a specific chore this week? Sticky notes can be an amazing little helper. Pop them on objects and surfaces around your home to give yourself the daily reminder that a job needs doing. Make a list of the tasks that need to be done first. That way, you can get the important ones out of the way before managing the others. Stick this list where you know you’ll see it a lot. It could be your fridge or your desk.
Staying Tidy Results in an Easier Life
Being organized isn’t just about keeping on top of jobs, though. It’s about keeping things tidy and easy to find. With children, this can be difficult to maintain, and it can often be quite stressful. Once you’re done with something, put it back to where it belongs. This seems extremely obvious, but leaving stuff lying around is just asking for it to go missing. If you have a baby, you must keep baby products organized. Not only will this save you money from not having to buy extras to replace lost items, but it will make your daily routine with your baby so much easier and hassle-free.
Invest in the Right Products
Investing in the right products can make your life a whole lot easier. Take the following example. Diapers come in big packs, but how easy is it to travel with them? Say hello to diaper bags, like the super useful ones from Sleepy Panda. By investing in a bag from a brand like this, you can stay organized while out and about because you can fit everything you need, from diapers to bottles and more all in one compact but stylish bag.
Be The Boss of Your Own Life
When it comes to your career, it can sometimes be hard to turn off. Therefore, you must be stern with yourself when it comes to your work hours. Only work the hours that you know you can manage. If you run your own business and choose your work hours, make sure you’re dividing your day up into hours for your job, hours for childcare and chores, and hours for some downtime. Yes, it’s possible to have a little bit of “me time” even when balancing kids, a career, and a house. It’s important to remember you’re only one person at the end of the day. Nobody is perfect. With some dedication and effort, you can be successful not only in life but in staying organized.
