Samara Hardy is the illustrator of Don’t Wake the Dragon and Who Loves the Dragon? An experienced illustrator and designer, she has created artwork for clients worldwide for greeting cards, stationery, homewares, children’s books, and more. She lives in Surrey, England.

MY REVIEW

If you’re looking for a sweet, heartwarming Christmas book to share with the little ones in your life, then Merry Christmas, Dragon! by Bianca Schulze needs to be on your holiday reading list! This is the seventh installment in Bianca’s wonderful Dragon series, and I have to say, I absolutely love this author and her beautifully written books! Having read other adventures featuring Dragon, I was so excited to dive into this latest story, and it did not disappoint. Dragon is back, and this time she’s bringing plenty of Christmas excitement, holiday fun, and a beautiful little reminder that makes this story extra special.

Dragon is SO excited for Christmas that she wants to do absolutely everything all at once! From all the fun holiday activities to enjoying the magic of the season, she just can’t contain her enthusiasm. But sometimes all that excitement can lead to a little chaos, and Dragon soon discovers that rushing through everything isn’t the best way to enjoy Christmas. I loved watching her learn to slow down, be present, and appreciate the special moments along the way. It’s such a wonderful message for children, but honestly, one that we adults need reminding of too! With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s easy to get caught up in everything we need to do instead of stopping to enjoy what makes this season so magical.

My kids and I had such a wonderful time reading this book together! It’s a fun, engaging story that makes for a perfect read-aloud, and we absolutely loved the gorgeous illustrations by Samara Hardy. The artwork is beautiful, bringing Dragon’s winter wonderland adventure to life and making every page a delight to explore. We found ourselves enjoying all the little details while following along with Dragon and her Christmas excitement. It’s one of those books that makes reading together even more special, and I love finding stories that the kids and I can enjoy just as much.

Bianca Schulze has once again delivered a delightful Dragon adventure filled with heart, humor, beautiful illustrations, and a meaningful lesson about appreciating the moments we have. I truly love this series, and Merry Christmas, Dragon!is, without a doubt, my MUST-HAVE Christmas book of the season! 🎄❤️ It’s a wonderful reminder that Christmas isn’t about doing everything or making every moment perfect; it’s about slowing down, enjoying the magic, and making memories with the people we love. This is definitely one we’ll be bringing out to read together during the holidays year after year. Highly recommend adding this beautiful book to your family’s Christmas collection!
