Best Country Music Festivals in the US
For many, a long-standing summertime tradition is logging in those hard-earned vacation days by packing up the car with only the essentials and making the trek, best friends in tow, to a music festival—more specifically, a country music festival. As an avid country music fan, you’ve probably mapped out your plan of action already, but with one of the country’s most popular music festivals announcing their cancellation, what are you supposed to do?
For the past 37 years, thousands have flocked to We Fest to watch everyone from LeAnn Rimes to Big & Rich take the mainstage. This year, management has opted to take a break to “regroup” with plans to return 2021. In order to save you countless hours of online searches for “country concerts near me,” we’ve gathered a few comparable suggestions for you to consider.
CMA Music Fest (Nashville, Tennessee)
Date: June 4-7
What better place to attend a country music festival than “the home of country music?” You still have time to snag your four-day CMA Fest pass. Not only will you have early admission to all four days, but you will also have access to exclusive meet-and-greets and free shuttles—day or night.
The festival will have multiple stages where you’ll have the opportunity to attend interviews, acoustic performances, and watch your favorite classics come to life before you. Between shows, you’ll have time to wander through the vendors and shop for merch.
Currently, the four-day pass is the only ticket option available for purchase. The prices will likely vary depending on the time at which the tickets are purchased, so go ahead claim your four-day pass before they run out!
Country Fest 2020 (Cadott, Wisconsin)
Date: June 25-27
Attending Country Fest 2020 leaves you with some hard decisions to make. Not only do they have a legendary lineup, but they also offer several types of ticket packages, as well as a campground so you and your fellow festivalgoers can keep the party goin’.
So, what type of ticket are you interested in? A Pit Pass gives you the option to purchase a pass for each artist you want to see up close or you can go all the way and buy a pass for the full three days.
The Top Tier Package grants you access to balcony seating, wait staff, hors d’oeuvres, and a private bathroom. But, why not go all out and receive the VIP treatment you deserve? Here, you will have seating reserved for you, VIP parking, all-you-can-drink beer, and so many more perks. Unfortunately, none of these packages include campground access, which will have to be purchased separately- the biggest decision you’ll need to make regarding your campsite is whether or not you’d like to have electricity.
Stagecoach 2020 (Indio, California)
Date: April 24-26
Sometimes considered to be Coachella’s “sister” festival, Stagecoach is California’s famous country music festival. Before the festival officially begins, the doors to the Honkytonk Dance Hall are open wide for everyone to master the two-step and get a taste of what’s to come. You’ll want to be sure you’ve got plenty of open phone storage for pictures! Not only will the Mayor of Flavortown, Guy Fieri be at Guy Fieri’s Stagecoach Smokehouse each day of the festival, but the famous Budweiser Clydesdales will also make an appearance.
If none of these festivals caught your eye, turn on your alerts for information about The Country Megaticket. Although they’re not on sale quite yet, purchasing a Megaticket will give you access to five country music concerts over the summer. Participating venues are scattered all across the US and Canada, meaning you are guaranteed to get your country music fix this summer.
