The Top 8 Summer Essentials All Women Need
With Summer upon us, it is the perfect time if you have not done so already, to pack away your heavy fall and winter clothing items such as sweaters and heavy sweatshirts. This is the time of year that you need to whip out those warm-weather essentials that you packed away last fall and decide on what you want to keep and what you may want to add to your collection to update and refresh it. For me is all about being stylish and comfortable and I am a classic style kind of gal…. stuff that really never goes out of style because it is timelessly designed. Below I am sharing eight of my must-haves for Summer and that are for sure the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe too. Let’s take a look…..
Slip-On White Sneakers
There is nothing I love more than my Keds slip-on white leather sneakers. They are perfection for the summer season as they are lightweight and slide on with ease. I do not wear traditional socks with these sneakers though because I like the look of no socks with my sneakers, especially in the summer months. This is why I have invested in invisible socks to wear with these summer shoe essentials. They keep me looking stylish and also protect my feet as if I were wearing actual socks.
Invisible Socks
Invisible socks are a must for the summer as I love the look of wearing no socks with my white slip on sneakers without having to worry about my shoes getting stinky and gross. In come FLAT SOCKS! They are the ultimate in invisible socks! I had to add these to this list as they are perfection for summer. No longer do you have to wear actual socks with your shoes…just put FLAT SOCKS into your shoes. Purchase a set of FLAT SOCKS for each pair that you have and you can simply put your bare feet into them and the FLAT SOCKS create a moisture-wicking barrier that saves your shoes from getting stinky. The best part is that they stay in place due to the underside which is a super grippy textured foam surface that keeps the socks (insole) in place. Perfect for your sneakers, ballet flats, and more!
White Jeans and/or White Shorts
There is something that I absolutely love about white jeans and also white shorts so for me I have both on hand for the summer months. They are so crisp and fresh and scream summer no matter what you wear with them. A pair of great white jeans and shorts can literally be paired with anything. You can do the total white look….and pair with a white tank top or Tshirt for a really classy look and you can even change it up by mixing it with light beiges too.
I also love that you can add literally any color you choose to with your white jeans. I always love wearing a chambray or jean top with my white jeans…such a cute classic look and very chic too. You can add a brown leather belt and brown sandals….whatever you chose and it is guaranteed to look amazing and chic!
Denim Shorts
There is nothing I love more than a good fitting pair of denim shorts to wear in the summer. I actually have several pairs as they always look amazing and are simply perfect for the season. You can wear anything with a cute pair of denim shorts too…. think neutral colored T-Shirts, and especially a white T-Shirt and a brown leather or black leather belt and my white slip on sneakers. this is the ultimate in comfort and perfection for a day at the park, shopping, the beach or anywhere you want to go!
Non-Denim Shorts
When you need a break from your denim shorts, make sure to have a pair of cute non-denim shorts on hand. I love the paper bag shorts as they are a flattering, versatile pair of non-denim shorts that will make the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe. You can find lots of styles to suit your needs……..linen shorts, and I even love a good pair or two of drawstring shorts. I got the cutest pairs from The Loft last year and they are super comfy and breezy for summer.
White T-Shirt
I have to buy a few new white T’s and even a few white Tank Tops for this summer as they are my go to for pretty much any outfit I wear in the summer. I love my white tops to be really white which is why I buy more of them than anything else. A white T-Shirt looks great with any pair of shorts you wear it with and especially a cute pair of denim shorts. It is a comfortable, timeless and classic look that never goes out of style too. Add a belt to your shorts, a cute pair of sandals and a cute pair of Ray Bans and you are ready to rock the day in style.
Flip Flops
I always purchase a new pair of black flip flops each season and they are my favorite thing about summer! You can wear them with literally anything… think white jeans, denim shorts, non denim shorts, a summer dress and more. Flip Flops are so breezy and the perfect way to keep yourself cool on a summers day and perfection for a day to the beach, pool or lake. Flip Flops are also economical so you can go ahead and grab a few pairs in different colors and styles so that you can mix it up all summer long.
T-Shirt Dress
The T-Shirt dress is everything and looks so cute with my slip on white leather Keds sneakers listed above. It is a feminine yet sporty look that is fun and fashionable for the summer and looks really cute on. I love wearing dresses more and more and the T-Shirt dress is a fun and cute style that is perfection for summer.
