Surrogacy is a Great Work From Home Option for Moms

First off, hello from Surrogacy Mama and allow me to make a quick introduction! My name is Gennifer Rose and I’m the voice and creator behind my surrogacy blog. I have worked professionally in surrogacy for years, and I’m also a surrogate myself. It has been the most rewarding experience and I’m very passionate about helping families. I wrote this guide to share how surrogacy can be a great way for stay at home moms to earn substantial income, and still be home with their children.

What is surrogacy?

Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction in which a woman, known as a gestational carrier (fancy name for a surrogate), carries a pregnancy for another person or couple, known as the intended parents, who are unable to conceive or carry a pregnancy to term on their own. The surrogate agrees to carry and deliver a child for the intended parents, and the child is genetically related to the intended parents or to a donor egg and/or sperm.

I want to clarify from the get go, surrogates are not genetically related to the baby. It’s the parents’ bun, the surrogate is just the oven. 🙂

How much money do surrogates make?

In general, surrogate compensation can range from $50,000 to $60,000 or more. The amount of money that surrogates make can vary depending on a number of factors, such as the location of the surrogate, the surrogacy agency, and the type of surrogacy arrangement. All of the agencies partnered with Surrogacy Mama will earn a minimum of $50,000, guaranteed.

This compensation is typically paid in installments throughout the pregnancy, with cash bonuses paid at milestones before pregnancy such as starting IVF medication and embryo transfer. Surrogates also earn cash perks such as a paid monthly allowance, $700 cash payment for maternity clothing, paid prenatal massages and even paid maternity leave!

It’s also important to note that all expenses that occur during a surrogacy journey are paid for by the parents, so the surrogate is never expected to pay anything out of pocket. This includes medical bills, travel expenses, and lost wages for time off work. In addition, surrogates may receive additional compensation for things like carrying multiple embryos (twins).

Stay at Home Moms Make Great Surrogates

Surrogacy can be a great work from home option for moms for several reasons.

Firstly, surrogacy allows women to work from the comfort of their own homes while still earning a significant income. As a surrogate, you would carry and give birth to a child for another family, and you would be compensated for your time and effort. This can be a great way to earn money while also being able to stay at home with your own children.

Secondly, surrogacy can be a very rewarding experience for women who want to help others. Many couples struggle with infertility or other medical issues that prevent them from having children, and surrogacy can provide them with a way to start a family. Being able to help another family fulfill their dreams of having a child can be incredibly fulfilling and rewarding.

Thirdly, surrogacy can offer a lot of flexibility in terms of scheduling and time commitment. As a surrogate, you would work with the intended parents to create a plan that works for everyone involved. This can include flexible scheduling of doctors appointments, parents paying for childcare, and the simple fact that you can live your everyday life while pregnant. If you’re at all interested or curious about becoming a surrogate, you can submit your info on the Surrogacy Mama website.
