Madinah – The Most Peaceful Place On Earth

One of the most common things that people say about Madinah is the sheer amount of peace they felt while they were there. And while there are some cultural rules you should stick to if you are not Muslim, for the most part, you will have a vacation unlike any other that you have had before.

The city itself is in the region of 1500 years old and is the holiest place in the world. So, of course, a high level of peace and spirituality is in the air. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other things for you to do while you’re there.

Mountain Uhud

You don’t need to be a history buff to enjoy this one, but it might help. Mountain Uhud is the location of the battle of Uhud and has a huge significance to people in the area – and beyond. It’s not the hardest mountain to climb, and people of all ages can be seen making the trek.

The mountain is, of course, open 24 hours a day and has some restaurants nearby, too – but perhaps the real reason to go is the stunning views.

Jannatul Baqi

It might sound morbid, but actually, this is a beautiful place. This is the largest and oldest cemetery in Madinah and stretches a whopping 175,000 m2.

What is mindblowing about this place, and the reason that so many people flock to visit it – is that it is the resting place of Prophet Muhammad’s family and some companions.

It is estimated to be somewhere in the region of 10,000 graves. Rather than free-wheel this, it is better to take a tour so you can fully appreciate how important the site is.

Dar Al Madinah Museum

For hubs that are packed with history and culture, you can get much bigger or better than this one. In fact, it is considered to be one of Saudi Arabia’s biggest tourist attractions.

It is about 20 km outside of the city of Madinah, but you can get a taxi from any of the Madinah Hotels, and you’ll be there in no time at all (20 minutes).

What makes this place so special is that it is home to about 2,000 rare artifacts, and they really speak of the history of Al Madinah. With over 14 galleries to explore packed with art, culture, artifacts, religion, and history – there is more to do than you might think.

Al Noor Mall

If you fancy shopping ‘til you drop in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, then here is where you should head. There is a huge range of high-end outlets, including Gucci. But more than that, there is a food court and even a gaming section. The staff is hospitable and very welcoming – making it a great place to spend a few hours!
When planning a trip, one of the key things is to be respectful of the culture and people; here are some things that you should know about having the perfect clothing: What to pack and not to pack in Saudi Arabia trip ~.
