Prepare your breakfast each night before you start winding down, so you don’t end up compromising the time you could be spending de-stressing. It is so important that you have some frozen meals as a backup. It may be that you didn’t prepare enough meals or that you weren’t in the mood for leftovers. Either way, having some frozen backups is always a good thing. Make sure that you take the time to find the best meal options and don’t settle for things that are high in sugar. Also, look out for things that have a minimum of 10g of protein and some vegetables mixed in. You can always pair a frozen meal with a bag of steamed vegetables if you want. Either way, this is a great approach to take if you want to start eating better.
Spend Extra
While buying foods that are close to their whole form will help you to save money, you do have to remember that when you’re busy, time is money. Rotisserie chicken, a marinated salmon filet and even a veggie platter are all great options and they can save you a great deal of time during the week. They also allow you to make way healthier choices.
Keep Staple Foods
A balanced meal doesn’t have to be complex. As long as you have a strong source of protein or fiber, you are really good to go. Stir-fries are great, and tacos are very solid meal options that can be made with just a handful of ingredients. Some of the foods you should try and include are canned beans, chickpeas and even frozen vegetables. You can also include frozen protein if you want, such as fish or even chicken.
