FLAT SOCKS vs Dr Scholl’s ~ Which Are The Most Comfortable Invisible Socks For Your Spring & Summer Wardrobe Needs?

With Spring right around the corner and Summer on its way, you may be like myself and getting your spring and summer wardrobe staples ready. I love the Spring, Summer, and even Fall months as I can’t wait to get outdoors to spend time in my garden and also to spend time hanging out with my family. Once the winter weather breaks and the warmer weather begins, my family and I love to get outdoors to soak up the sunshine via hiking, kayaking, taking my dog on long walks, and simply playing cornhole, tennis, Pickle Ball, and more. All of these warmer weather activities require me to wear the right shoes…. whether that be my hiking boots, athletic sneakers, or slip-on sneakers and all of them require that I wear the proper socks with them too. This is where my love of comfortable and effective invisible socks comes in as a good pair of no-show socks are everything to me because they feel as if you’re wearing no socks at all which I love in the hot warmer months of Spring, Summer, and even Fall. Invisible socks allow you to rock that ‘no socks’ look without actually wearing ‘no’ socks. I think that invisible socks look amazing with certain outfits and that they make my shoes look clean, streamlined, and stylish, all while allowing me to rock the no-show socks look in the warmer months. For these reasons, I wanted to share my comparison review of FLAT SOCKS Invisible Socks versus Dr. Scholls Sockless Comfort Insoles. Keep reading to see why FLAT SOCKS are my invisible socks of choice and why you need a few pairs to add to your Spring and Summer wardrobe staples.

FLAT SOCKS

I have to say that I am a huge fan of Flat Socks. They’ve been my invisible sock of choice for a while now as they’re super comfy and amazingly effective at keeping my feet and shoes dry. I love no-show socks versus traditional socks as they look so much better with my slip-on sneakers and my outfits too. I always want a ‘no show’ look to my socks when wearing my cute sneakers in the warmer months and traditional ‘no show’ socks show themselves by peeking out around the top, or they slip down and become an annoying, wrinkled, uncomfortable mess. FLAT SOCKS are different as they let your shoes speak for themselves. They never show, never slip around, and they let you rock out the look of no socks perfectly all while protecting your shoes from becoming a stinky, hot swampy mess.

FLAT SOCKS look like a shoe insole but they’re not meant to replace your shoe’s insole. What you do is cut them to fit your shoe size using the handy cutting guide built into the underside of each FLAT SOCK. There are two sizes available… a size small that fits women’s sizes up to 11 and men’s sizes up to 10 and a size large that fits women’s sizes up to 13 and Men’s sizes up to 14. These two different size options are what make trimming these fabulous no-show socks to fit your shoes a breeze!

Once you’ve cut your FLAT SOCKS, you can position them to fit right on top of your shoe’s built-in insoles inside your shoe bed. Now that they’re placed in your shoe, they act as your invisible socks and there’s no longer a need to wear actual bulky socks which I love in the warmer months. The best part is that at the end of the day, you can treat your FLAT SOCKS like socks too, and toss them into your washer (and dryer) as often as you like to keep them clean.

Other Features that I Love about FLAT SOCKS:

*No Stink: FLAT SOCKS are designed to create a moisture-wicking barrier that saves your shoes from becoming a stinky swamp and their No Stink odor-control technology helps to keep feet fresh.

*No Slip: I love the design of the underside of FLAT SOCKS as they feature a super grippy textured foam surface that stays in place once installed and that seriously does not budge.

*No Show: FLAT SOCKS are hands down the best invisible socks that I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. They’re an insole so there is no part of the sock that will show when wearing them in your favorite shoe. Other “no show” socks are either “some show” or they annoyingly bunch up around your heel or ankle and just look horrible and feel uncomfortable too.

*Soft & Cushy: FLAT SOCKS No-show socks feel amazing when wearing them in my shoes. Their soft and supportive foam makes every step that you take extra comfy.

*Machine Washable: I love that FLAT SOCKS can be tossed right into the washer machine to ensure they stay fresh and clean, as often as you like! You can also place them into the dryer but I prefer to air dry mine.

Dr. Scholl’s Sockless Comfort Insoles

Dr. Scholl’s Sockless Comfort Insoles are similar to FLAT SOCKS in the way they are worn but different in terms of performance. They’re designed to absorb moisture and control wetness which will keep your shoes fresher for longer and they include an odor treatment that helps to control unwanted odor. They also feature a plush terrycloth top layer for added comfort and the end result is an alternative to no-show socks that will keep your feet feeling comfortable and cozy with an added boost of cushioning.

You get 3 pairs of Sockless Comfort Insoles per package and they come in one size to cover both men and women.

Now let’s take a look at the reasons I prefer FLAT SOCKS over Dr.Scholl’s Sockless Comfort Insoles…

*Dr. Scholl’s Sockless Comfort Insoles are just not as high of a quality as FLAT SOCKS. They’re not as cute and they’re not as comfy when inserted into the shoe as compared to FLAT SOCKS which are made much better overall. You can place it on top of your shoe insoles or use it as an insole by itself.

*Dr Scholl’s version has to be replaced after 6 months and there is also no mention of whether they can be washed and dried via the washing machine and dryer. That is a big issue for me as no-show socks should be washable and FLAT SOCKS are.

*Dr. Scholl’s Sockless Comfort Insoles are difficult to trim to fit your shoes. Their insoles do not have a built-in cutting guide on the bottom, like FLAT SOCKS do plus they’re also only available in one size for both men and women which means they are overly large. Trimming them to fit your shoe is extremely difficult because depending on your shoe size…. you’re not just trimming the top of the insoles but all around the insoles so that it fits your shoe bed properly. I honestly ruined the first pair trying to get them to fit into my women’s size 8 shoe.

*Dr. Scholl’s Sockless Comfort Insoles do not keep my feet as dry as FLAT SOCKS which means their wicking technology does not compare and they will end up stinky.

*Dr. Scholl’s Sockless Comfort Insoles only come in one style and color. FLAT SOCKS has different fun patterns and color options to choose from PLUS kid’s sizes too.

*Dr. Scholl’s Sockless Comfort Insoles are flimsy. You get 3 pairs per pack but it is 3 big insoles that have to be pulled apart as they are pressed together in the manufacturing process. You have to play around with the side of the insole until you’re able to separate the two sides and pull them apart. I actually had a bit of the foam bed rip-off when doing this.

So what do you think of my comparison of these two invisible sock brands? I think it is pretty obvious which of the two I prefer and I am for sure a huge FLAT SOCKS fan. They’re the only comfortable and effective invisible socks that I will wear in my shoes as they work in anything I place them in! Think ballet flats, dress shoes, slip-on sneakers, boat shoes, and any pair of shoes that you do not want to wear traditional bulky socks with! They’re cute to look at too and they make my shoes look even cuter with their fun and fresh designs! Add to that the fact that they’re washable and will last and last with proper care and they truly are a must-have for anyone who loves the look of ‘no show’ socks like myself.       Yes! They have features that make them the truye winner for sure. I also forgot to stress in my post that the FLAT SOCKS have that rubber backing tat keeps the bottom of my shoes dry in the event my feet are getting sweaty in my sneakers…. the Dr Scoll’s do not have that rubber on the bottom so after a few hours they could be ineffective. Love FLAT SOCKS!

    I had not heard of flat socks before, but have had gel insoles! Shoes 100 percent need some sort of insole now a days.

      Yes for sure! These FLAT SOCKS are made to go on top of your shoes liner and they act as a sock so that you can rock the no-sock look without your shoes getting funky! They are awesome!

    These do sound like a great product. The fact that they don’t smell and that they are soft and supportive makes me want top buy some of these to try.

    I’ve never heard of this, but what an awesome idea! I have smelly feet (lol) and I struggle with different socks. It is nice to have that freedom of not wearing a sock but having an absorbent inner sole.

      Yes! They act as an invisible sock too. You leave the footbed that is in your shoe… the liner I should say and then place the FLAT SOCKS on top. They wick moisture away and keep your feet from getting sweaty all while rocking the no-show sock look! They ahve lots of cool prints!

      Yes! I am a fan of Dr Scholls products myself. I prefer flat socks over the Dr Scholls variety though as they are better quailty and will last! Love them and love that you can wash FLAT SOCKS.
