Coffee Concerns – Is A Morning Cup Of Java Good Or Bad For Your Health?
A good morning cup of java, or two, or three…is a favorite of millions, perhaps billions of people all over the globe. In fact, there are quite a few people out there that enjoy coffee at all other times of the day. The aroma, the rich taste and the energy boost keep people coming back for more.
People have long debated whether or not coffee is good for you. Like most other debatable substances out there, the compromise is often moderation. Not even coffee connoisseurs would recommend drinking dozens of cups of coffee each day. It is safe to say that moderation in consumption is a one size fits all strategy.
Yet the question still remains: Is coffee good or bad for you? Is drinking coffee in moderation still not a good idea? And if coffee is good for you, what are the benefits? That pick me up is not a health benefit; instead, you are just providing yourself with a temporary boost of energy.
Regardless, hardcore coffee drinkers are going to need convincing if they are going to cut back on their java intake. And if there are health benefits to drinking coffee, what are they? Some experts suggest that coffee, in moderation of course, can help prevent strokes and heart disease.
In fact, coffee can be linked to possibly helping prevent Alzheimer’s Disease, Type 2 Diabetes and gallstone diseases. That seems like a tall promise, but it’s not a promise. It’s simply a possible health benefit of enjoying coffee as part of your daily diet.
The only problem is that coffee contains caffeine, and many people who drink coffee are addicted. Coffee is an enjoyable beverage, true. But when people who drink it consistently stop drinking it, a major headache and other symptoms can occur.
There’s no question that coffee has its health benefits and is at face value a good beverage to enjoy on occasion. Remember that many specialty coffees can contain lots of sugar and other ingredients that can take away from those health benefits. It does matter indeed how you plan to enjoy those coffees.
There are many creamer substitutes out there, and there are sugar-free creamers as well. Whichever way you choose to go, make sure that you’re getting to enjoy the benefits of drinking coffee. You don’t want to be causing yourself any problems in the form of health concerns.
Coffee is said to help people burn fat, too. It is also considered a diuretic. Coffee in no way should replace a healthy breakfast; however, people unfortunately take up with this routine quite often. Furthermore, it was mentioned that many people like to enjoy a cup of java anytime throughout the day. First, you definitely want to set boundaries, and second, coffee at nighttime is never good.
Why is drinking coffee at night a bad idea? It can disrupt your sleep pattern. Caffeine in general is bad before bedtime, and you should certainly limit all liquids in the last couple of hours, even water. So far, it appears that the compromise mentioned earlier is actually the consensus, right?
Coffee does contain healthy antioxidants and other nutrients that are beneficial to your body. It has its pros and cons. As long as you truly enjoy a cup of java, then the verdict is enjoy it without going overboard. Maybe that 2nd cup of coffee isn’t necessary this morning. Or perhaps you allow yourself that second cup, but you don’t revisit coffee until the next morning or even less regularly than that.
Remember, if you get your coffee at a place of business, you’re going to want to know what all is mixed in that java. Look at the nutritional information. Once you have identified some key favorites that are healthy, less research is necessary. It doesn’t complicate matters too much, and you certainly want to be benefiting from your morning cup of joe, not causing yourself dietary issues.
Some types of coffee contain more caffeine than others. This is something else you might want to look into as you focus more on the health benefits of drinking coffee. If you’re going to enjoy something, you want to make the most of it, and now you can consider yourself a coffee connoisseur.

I love coffee! I know there are some downfalls to drinking it, but it can be good for you as well. It really helps with my Rheumatoid Arthritis. It helps with waking up and getting moving in the morning, as well as inflammation.
