MY REVIEW

Every now and then, I stumble across a book that sweeps me off my feet and pulls me straight into a world that feels almost enchanted…… like opening a snow globe and finding myself standing right in the middle of it. Magic in the Mountains: A Christmas Trilogy did exactly that. From the very first pages, it wrapped me in that cozy, sparkling feeling I’ve always associated with Christmas: the warmth, the wonder, the quiet sense that something magical is just around the corner. It’s the kind of story that doesn’t just entertain you……it settles into your heart. And I truly, wholeheartedly loved it.

From the moment the James brothers…..Alex and Noah arrive at the mysterious North Point Ski Resort, the book wraps you in a sense of wonder. It’s the kind of wonder that reminds you of childhood winters, when anything felt possible and the magic of the season seemed just a breath away.

What struck me most was how heartfelt the story is beneath all the adventure. The trilogy balances enchanting world-building with meaningful themes: courage, family, sacrifice, and the kind of belief that doesn’t come easily but matters deeply. When Santa calls upon the boys for help, it’s not just a whimsical plot point……. it becomes the emotional center of the story. Their journey isn’t only about saving Christmas; it’s about discovering what truly makes someone brave and what it means to step into a calling bigger than yourself.

The dark magic threatening the North Pole adds real tension, giving the story stakes that feel surprisingly weighty. Noah’s crystal, glowing with extraordinary power, becomes a symbol of hope…… not just for the characters, but for the reader as well. I loved how the story treats magic not as a gimmick, but as something intertwined with purpose, heart, and identity.

And the setting? Pure charm. A hidden ski resort tucked far off any map, a world where snow hides secrets and every corner seems to shimmer with possibility…… it’s exactly the kind of setting that pulls you in and refuses to let go.

I also loved the way this trilogy brings out the bond between the siblings. Their loyalty and determination give the story its emotional pulse and make the triumphs feel truly earned. Even amidst battles with shadows and high-stakes magical conflicts, the heart of the book remains deeply human.

I loved the book also, not just for the adventure and magic, but for the warmth it leaves behind. It’s the kind of Christmas story you want to revisit, like a favorite holiday tradition….comforting, exciting, and full of light.

If you’re looking for a holiday read that blends fantasy, heart, and the timeless spirit of Christmas, Magic in the Mountains is a beautiful choice. It’s a trilogy that feels like a gift in itself.
