MY REVIEW
Why Alli the Alligator Stole My Heart
Some children’s books are enjoyable… and then there are the special ones that stay with you long after you’ve finished reading them. Alli the Alligator is absolutely one of those books and to me this is a must have for any Childs reading collection.
From the very beginning, I was drawn into Alli’s world. She is such a relatable, lovable character… full of curiosity, heart, and that very human feeling of wondering where you fit in. What makes her story so powerful is how gently and beautifully it explores themes of belonging, friendship, and acceptance.
At its core, this book is about something every child understands: the desire to be accepted for who you are. Alli’s journey reminds readers that it’s okay to feel different, and that those differences are often what make us special and unique. Watching her grow in confidence and build friendships is both heartwarming and meaningful and I so love reading this one with my kids.
One of the things I adore most is how naturally the story encourages kindness and empathy. It opens the door for important conversations about inclusion and friendship without ever feeling heavy-handed. Instead, it feels warm, gentle, and full of heart.
The friendships Alli forms are extra special too as they show children that real friends accept you, support you, and celebrate who you are. Those messages are so important, and this book delivers them in a way young readers will truly understand and remember.
The illustrations also add so much charm and warmth to the story, making Alli’s world feel alive, inviting, and comforting. It’s the kind of book children will want to read again and again and that you will wnat to read with them.
What I love most is that the message goes beyond childhood. At any age, we all want to feel like we belong. Alli the Alligator captures that universal feeling in such a sweet and heartfelt way.
This book is truly a celebration of friendship, courage, and acceptance — and it does it with so much heart.
Alli completely stole my heart and I just so love it!

I really love the message in this book. I think it’s one that every child should learn early. The way the world is these days, it’s clear we need more of that lesson.
