Here is one of my favorite recipes from Holly Clegg’s trim&TERRIFIC Kitchen 101 Cookbook! This is a must have cookbook for all as the recipes are easy to prepare, using ingredients you probably already have on hand and the end result are yummy recipes that the whole family will love all while being healthier for you too!
Beef Brisket/Beef Sliders

Four simple ingredients plus meat combine for a melt-in-your- mouth brisket meal that basically cooks itself!
Course Appetizer, Main Course
- 1 5 to 6 pound Brisket
- Garlic Powder
- 2/3 Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 envelope Dry Onion Soup Mix
- 1 Cup Ketchup
- 1) Season brisket heavily with garlic powder. In 3 1/2-6-quart slow cooker, insert plastic liner if desired, and mix together remaining ingredients. Add brisket and turn to coat with sauce. Cook on LOW 6-8 hours or until tender.
- For Beef Sliders: Fill miniature rolls with brisket, Brie, and red onion — easy and fantastic!

Loving the sauce used in this brisket recipe! I noticed the slider sandwich was topped with slaw. I make my own slaw using three simple ingredients: bagged slaw, shredded cheese, and Marzetti sweet & Sour dressing. This is definitely Monday’s dinner!
