5 Must-Have Spring Wardrobe Essentials
This spring, the fashion world is opting for classic fabrics that have a touch of boldness or richness to them. Adding pearls, metallic tones and sheer fabrics all manage to be luxurious but also have something eye-catching to make them interesting enough to be diverse. The best part about spring is shaking up your wardrobe to include lighter, more versatile fabrics to wear outside for day-long strolls. There are so many places that you can get new clothes from (such as from Monroe Clothing), that you can easily shake up your wardrobe. With that in mind, what are the must-have wardrobe essentials for this season?
1. A light, camel overcoat
Wearing a coat that’s a light shade of beige is one of those quintessential items that symbolically shouts that it’s now springtime. A light coat that keeps you warm in the less than balmy days but doesn’t keep you bundled up from the cold, meaning it’s always an exciting item to put on once the weather starts getting comfortable. If you’re looking for a coat to wear in the new-found beer-garden weather, then finding the perfect one at Gloverall should get you something that’s classic and light.
2. A touch of sci-fi
We’ve experienced full-body sequins, iridescent jackets and garments that are covered with as much glitter as one person can handle of late. However, sci-fi is still in but with one statement piece at a time. Glittery garments are often associated with Christmas parties and the transition into winter, so it’s important to keep it light and one step at a time. A pair of striking shimmery earrings or a metallic top with geometric patterns will be enough to keep it futuristic without revisiting the 70s or the Christmas period.
3. Pearls
Pearl-studded everything can be seen on the catwalks at the moment. It’s not just a pair of pearl earrings or an 80-style statement necklace which are being adorned with these gems of the sea of late though! Pearls are being used to add texture and relief to accessories, shoes, and handbags to give everything a lavish, silky feel. If you’re optimistic about the weather this spring, then be sure to get yourself some pearl-studded sandals, as seen in Milan Fashion Week.
4. Tie dye
This hippie-trend staple is making its way in small doses into mainstream fashion, albeit more subtly. You can add a two or three-tone gradient tie-dye top for a beautiful addition of this print to your wardrobe, or for an extra bold look, add a pair of tie-dye trousers.
5. Sheer fashion
Sheer fabrics tend to flow and ebb back into people’s wardrobes, meaning that if you already have a garment with sheer fabric, it’s about to come back into trend. Whereas before sheer fabrics would appear as structured cut-outs, it’s set to sweep into pieces of clothing in a much more bold but slick way. If you’re worried about how to pull off such a bold look, then are plenty of ways to wear sheer fabric that aren’t too revealing.
The nice thing about all of these items is that they are almost far too simple to pull off. It doesn’t take a highbrow fashion sense to pull off a string of pearls, a silvery top or a sheer blouse. Adding these elements to your wardrobe will keep your fashion sense and outfits light and breezy for the better weather ahead.

I love the camel overcoat. It would go with so many outfits. I haven’t worn tie dye in a long time. It would be fun to add to my wardrobe!
