Dave & Lucy started Battle Green in response to growing & overwhelming reports on the negative impact that wasteful practices and plastic are having on our planet. Well it’s true and as huge animal and nature lovers, it’s a deep appreciation for the natural world that drives the owners to do that they do. So if you have never used a dry shampoo before you may be wondering how it works. It is really simple and I promise that once you give it a try…. you will love this hair care solution for in between your hair washing days. It is sustainability at its finest and these make the perfect addition to your self care and beauty routines. Battle Green’s natural dry shampoo powder is a fabulous blend of clays and plant-based powders which provide you with a quick, water-free solution to refresh, fragrance and add instant volume to your hair. These dry shampoos are the perfect solution for you when you are short on time or when you simply want to extend the time between hair washes. You simply sprinkle a small amount onto the roots of your hair and then gently massage it in and let it sit for two minutes. After those initial two minutes pass…. simply brush your hair to remove any excess powder and style your hair as usual. Super easy and fabulously effective too!

The folks at Battle Green make their natural cosmetics brand by hand, in small batches in Snowdonia, North Wales (UK). I love this because small batch cosmetics are less wasteful, more sustainable to produce and arrive to you fresh!
Natural Formula
I also love that Battle Green only uses natural, plant-based and organic ingredients in their formulas and their product range is PETA certified vegan and cruelty free. Their dry shampoo uses all natural clays and plant powders to freshen the hair, add volume and leave a subtle, whimsical and beautiful fragrance behind. This is important to note as Battle Green pushes to be all natural as compared to other dry shampoo formulations that use harsh ingredients like talc and synthetic fragrance that can irritate the respiratory system and skin. These synthetic formulations can also contain propellants like isobutane and propane to dispense the shampoo in a fine mist, but these ingredients too have been linked to respiratory issues and a range of health issues too. That is what I love about Battle Green and their line of Natural Dry Shampoo powders and they’re also natural, effective and super gentle to use too.
