Get Your Tickets To See ‘Pastor’s Kid’ In Theaters March 15th! @ironside_films @pastorskidmovie @bandekoot
I am excited to share a film with you all that I jumped at the chnace to see in advance if it’s release in theaters Mid-March called ‘Pastor’s Kid‘. ‘Pastor’s Kid‘ is an R-rated film made to honor the true journey that it is based on and to ultimately show the power of what God was bringing to the main character (Riley) through. The goal of the film was not to be overly “dark” or “edgy” but to show the realities of what those caught up in substance abuse go through and the freedom that can be found through Christ. The message that I got from this powerful story wass that you are NEVER too far, that God won’t chase you. That is a beautiful reminder to me and it reminds me that God is good! Take a look at the trailer for ‘Pastor’s Kid‘ below….
About ‘Pastor’s Kid’
The ‘Pastor’s Kid‘ is a raw true story about faith and redemption. The movie starts off with Riley, who is a college student that is running from her painful past. She is in a nightclub or bar and is obviously in rough shape at the movies beginning. Her good friend happens to recognize her when two older men are trying to stuff her into a vehicle outside of the bar. He takes her home to sober up and then tells her all about it when she wakes up the next day.
This painful past of abuse and religious hypocrisy is haunting your Riley. However, God has other plans for her when an unforseen circumstance compels her to confront the very source of her anguish…. her estranged mother. Riley is constantly flashing back to memories of her childhood…her mom wasted out of her mind, Riley basically raising her young brother and then her mom later becoming a pastor herself.
The movie goes on to showcase the lifestyle that Riley is currently living while trying to fight off her calling from God. She has her roomates and friends surrounding her but that is not enough. She is lost and running from something that you cannot see.
Faced with the choice to either continue running from her demons or to face them head-on, Riley embarks on a powerful journey of faith, redemption, and healing.
As Riley unravels the layers of her painful childhood, she discovers the tranfromative power of forgiveness and the strength to break free from the chains of her past.
This movie was beautifully told and I love how raw and powerful it was as it was REAL. It told a real story that anyone and everyone can relate too which makes it even more powerful and it’s the perfect reminder that God is good.
This is a movie not to be missed and it’s a beautiful reminder that we are never too far away from God that he will not be there for us and take care of us. Get your tickets now to see ‘Pastor’s Kid‘ in theaters March 15th!
