Low-Maintenance Cannabis Strains That Thrive with Minimal Effort

Growing cannabis is something that can be fun to learn for those who want to have more options available to them or be able to store cannabis for when they need it. However, some strains can be incredibly challenging to grow, especially for beginners, and may require more extensive setups or more maintenance to ensure they grow. Instead, for beginners, it may be better to try out some of these low-maintenance strains that are much easier to grow.

Look for Autoflowering Seeds

Before looking at the variety of cannabis strains to choose from, it’s important to consider the type of seeds to buy. Regular, feminized, and autoflowering seeds are available today, with autoflowering being the easiest to grow. These seeds are typically easy to germinate, will automatically start flowering at the right time, and require a lot less work compared to regular or feminized seeds. They are an excellent option for any of the strains below to make them as low-maintenance as possible.

Northern Lights

Northern Lights is a classic strain that tends to be highly adaptable, and therefore an excellent choice for beginners. It tends to stay compact, so it isn’t necessary to have a large area for it to grow. It flowers quickly, too, so beginners won’t have to wait long to try out their first harvest. Maintenance such as feeding, pruning and more isn’t necessary for this strain to grow, so it’s one that’s perfect for those who have minimal time to tend to their plants.

Gorilla Glue Auto

Another one that requires little maintenance is Gorilla Glue Auto. It’s a short and bushy plant, so it doesn’t need a lot of space above or around it to grow. It is mainly an indica strain, which helps with the size and shape. It does produce a significant number of buds, so it can be an excellent option for those who want to get more from their harvest without having to give up a lot of space for the plants.

Blue Dream

Blue Dream is another one that’s easy to grow and a perfect option for beginners. It can thrive in almost any setting, so even if a beginner is just getting started and doesn’t have a lot of supplies yet, this will grow and still have a large harvest. It is incredibly forgiving, so beginners don’t have to worry about ruining their harvest if they make mistakes or things don’t go quite as planned. They’ll still get a good harvest and can learn and make changes next time.

Jack Herer

Jack Herer is a strain that’s perfect for indoor or outdoor growing. It’s highly resistant to common issues that cannabis plants face, which makes it far easier for beginners to grow. It’s not as likely to suffer from mildew or mold and doesn’t require a lot of help to get from seedling to harvest. Those who may want to try growing outdoors should give this strain a try as it can help them get a good harvest without worry.

Whether you’re new to growing cannabis or just want to branch out without having to spend a lot of time maintaining the plants you grow, these strains are some of the easiest. Take the time to check out the different strains to find the perfect one to try out today.
