I am not sure about you but I have to admit that…. I find myself stressed and a bit overwhelmed with all that has to be done each and every day. The line up of all that has to be accomplished between work and my personal life can be overwhelming which is why some good old self care and ‘me time’ is just the ticket. I happen to love gaming on my phone and computer when I have a little downtime as for me it is really the perfect way to destress as it helps to take my mind off of things for a bit. I am a competitive person and always have been which is why I love finding games that pique my interest as once I find a game that I love it can be really hard to stop. I recently stumbled upon a website that offers tons of free online games that the whole family will enjoy and let’s now take a look at a few of my favorites…..
The Minigolf World Mini Golf Game is hands down my favorite game from Plays.org. This is a super fun but challenging mini golf game that I can literally play for hours. I have gotten much better at this one and actually just spent a hour playing as the courses get more challenging as I go along which can be a bit addictive and lots of fun.
This game is a beautiful overhead view isometric mini golf arcade game where players control the angle and strength of the shot to try to put the ball in the hole. You can use the mouse to look at the whole mini golf course that you will be playing on the get an idea of where you want your golf ball to go. You simply tap the screen or click on your mouse (depending on if you are on a computer, tablet or phone) to begin the swing. You then pull back to control the strength of the swing and move up and down to control the swing angle. The arrow populates when you are aiming and he’s with the direction of the game and it is really fun and as I mentioned above….. very addictive. If the hole is out of view via your screen…. you can click on the screen to scroll around to plan your best shot or shooting strategy.
There are various levels to this game that get harder as you go along so … you will never be bored as it constantly ups the difficulty level for you as you go along.
Another game that I am loving is Neon Invaders which is beautiful modern take on the classic Space Invaders arcade game. This one is a challenging game for me… as was the original when I was a kid. My husband loves this one the best and he blows me away at it each and every time which is hard for me being as I am so competitive.
To play…. you simply tap your space bar to shoot the aliens. You move right or left to avoid their shots while trying to shoot them down. You can also use the bases to block their shots. As you move up in levels…. various alien spacecraft take different shot amounts to be destroyed making the levels more and more difficult. Each level also has its own pattern of movement with some ships moving side to side while others will also come forward to you each time they hit the edge of the screen. When you get close to eliminating all ships… the last few ships speed up making it harder to hit them and to also dodge their bullets.
You begin the game with 3 lives. Each time you are hit by a ships bullet… you lose a life. Your can gain lives by hitting the last moving ship which every now and then moves quickly across the top of your screen and once you hit it… it drops a heart container which give you another life. If you already have 3 lives then you do not get a fourth life, though it also boosts your power. If at any time your ship is destroyed… you start again at the beginning.
An last but not least… I am loving the free online game Brick Out ~ which is a breakout-like brick breaker game that will have you hooked. This super fun game is a modern remake of the cult classic arcade game Breakout. Breakout was released on Atari May 13, 1976 and was also a source of inspiration for the Apple II personal computer which is pretty neat.
To play… you simply use your mouse to move the addle at the bottom of the screen back and forth to hit the ball upward. Capture the powers without allowing your ball to fall below your paddle and sometimes those powers will provide you with a longer paddle or even a magnetized paddle that will always capture your ball. You simply keep breaking bricks until they are all gone and have been destroyed and then level up.
You get 3 lives in this game and as you level up you will find that some of the bricks require repeated hits to break them completely… which I fun as its adds a bit of a challenge when playing and leaving up.
As you can see these 3 games are perfect for helping me to destress and unwind anytime that I need it. The only issue for me is it can be hard to stop as the games are addictive and lots of fun to play. Plays.org also is constantly coming out with new free games and adding them to their huge list of free games which means you will never get bored as there is always a new game to try out and to master. What are other ways that you like to destress and unwind? Leave your tips in a comment below and thank you for stopping by and reading!
