I am excited to share a heartwarming and uplifting show that I am watching from Pure Flix… and it is called “Going Home”…a Sony AFFIRM original that launched on Pure Flix. I am not sure about you, but TV these days can seem overwhelming which is why I have fallen in love with Pure Flix and their amazing assortment of shows & movies that brings faith back to entertainment and it’s the reason I jumped at the chance to be a Pure Flix VIP Ambassador. “Going Home” is a new series from Pure Flix, that follows an inspiring team of nurses, who work at the hospice care Sunset House. These nurses help to guide patients and their loved ones on the ultimate journey….. one of transition from this world the their forever home in Heaven. It is a race against time for these patients and their caregivers as the nursing team at Sunset House must help their clients find the peace they are looking for all while wrapping up any loose ends with compassion and grace.
Synopsis of “Going Home”
Everyone has a calling from God and Charley’s purpose is to help people transition from this world to their forever home. Watch this heartfelt series that will inspire you to think deeper about your relationships and how you can live well with the time we’re all blessed with. God gives everyone a calling – and for Charley, it’s to help families during one of the most difficult times of their lives.
I have been watching this wonderful series on Pure Flix which is my new go to for TV entertainment. I just finished watching Episode 4 of “Going Home” and it was a fabulous episode that I want to share with you. There were 2 new hospice patients in this episode….. Faye Hutton who is a wealthy lady that has lots of regrets in her life and that also loves Charlie who is an award winning hospice nurse at Sunset House, PLUS Katherine Sumner who was Charlie’s long lost college roommate, that is dying of cancer. Katherine is played by actress Charisma Carpenter from “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” and I absolutely loved these two characters and especially Faye. In this episode Faye’s character passes peacefully, without regrets and at peace with the help of Charlie and her faith and insight.
I love this episode and cannot wait to watch more of this beautiful and heartwarming series. I feel at peace after watching this and it really helps me to reflect on what is important in life. Bible verses that fit beautifully with this episode are:
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. – Psalms 46:1-3
‘A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.’ – Proverbs 13:22 (NIV)
‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.’ – Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
