MY REVIEW

My daughter and I both loved Live Big with Catch-M by Kat Kronenberg. Live Big with Catch-M is the newest book in the Live Big Series and it introduces readers to CATCH-M, a little “love spark” who emerges from darkness feeling alone and frightened. As CATCH-M listens to love’s whisper, the light of loving connection grows until it leads to a radiant transformation. The story spans from this tiny spark to how millions of CATCH-Ms come together to form the wonders of Mother Earth, weaving in the emotional journeys of Baby Cheetah and Zebra as they learn to nurture the spark of love in themselves.

What sets this book apart and what I love most is that this book provides a seamless blend of poetic storytelling with simple scientific metaphors. It provides references into how stars are formed, teaches about Earth’s magnetic pull, and even showcases how the fusion of atoms artfully underline themes of transformation and unity. For instance, when Baby Cheetah finds courage, it’s likened to hydrogen fusing into helium—an elegant nod toward both science and emotion.

I also want to stress that I adore the illustrations…. as they are bright and bold and beautiful to look at while reading the story. These illustrations are brought to us by Jomike Tejido, and these gorgeous visuals guide readers across cosmic and earthly landscapes—from sparks in the dark to creatures of East Africa.
