MY REVIEW
I am loving Bianca Shulze’s 101 Books to Read Before You Grow Up (Revised Edition) as it isn’t a storybook itself, but rather a fun and interactive reading guide that makes the perfect gift for young readers. It introduces 101 children’s titles, from picture books to middle-grade novels, giving a brief summary of each and sharing why it’s worth reading. Kids are also encouraged to reflect on their reading journey with spaces to check off books, add notes, and keep track of progress.
The revised edition updates the list to reflect modern favorites while still honoring timeless classics which I love. Expect to see everything from beloved standbys like Charlotte’s Web to newer titles that today’s generation has fallen in love with. This book is the perfect guide for kids ages 6–12 who are curious readers, parents who want to encourage their child’s love of reading, teachers and librarians looking for a ready-made booklist to recommend and even families who want to make reading a shared adventure.
