MY REVIEW
What touched me most about Hop’s Tales: The Kind Bunny was its beautiful message about kindness, empathy, and staying true to yourself even when others are unkind. In today’s world, stories that gently teach children the importance of compassion feel more valuable than ever, and this book delivers that message with so much heart and sincerity.
One of my absolute favorite moments in the story is the tender scene between Hop and his mum. It’s such a comforting and meaningful exchange — the kind of passage that stays with you long after you close the book:
“My Dear Bunny,” smiled his mummy, she kissed his nose and told him calmly,
“Don’t feel so blue, here’s what’s true — their words reflect on them and not on you.”
“As long as you are true to you, and carry kindness in your heart,
you’ll learn to hop right over words of animals like Ruff.”
That moment perfectly captures the soul of the book. It reminds children — and honestly adults too — that kindness is a strength, not a weakness. The wisdom in Hop’s mother’s words feels gentle, nurturing, and deeply reassuring.
Combined with the absolutely stunning illustrations, the story becomes something far beyond a simple children’s book. Every page feels filled with warmth, love, and artistry. The dreamy watercolor artwork brings the emotional heart of the story to life in such a magical way that you can’t help but pause and admire each scene.
