If you’re already a blogger or blogging is something you’ve thought about doing for a while, now is the perfect time to get going or to really focus on your blog. The world is going through a crazy time right now, and as we all have to stay inside and stay safe from COVID-19, it’s still important to keep busy at home. Blogging is the perfect activity to do during the lockdown, and here’s why:

It’s Therapeutic

Writing down how you’re feeling can be really therapeutic for you. So, whether you write a blog about what you’re going through or about something completely different, which gives you the escapism you need, blogging is a fabulous thing to do for your mental health.

You Can Do It Anywhere

Although most people are stuck at home and no one can go in sit in cafes and blog at the moment, you can blog anywhere as long as you have your laptop or even your phone. So, that means that while the weather is good, you can be blogging outside in the garden, or perhaps you can take your laptop to the park while you go for your daily walk. Alternatively, you can hide away in your room, or you can sit in the kitchen and chat with your family while blogging away.

You Can Do It About Anything

There are no rules when it comes to blogging; you can do it about anything. Whatever it is you are passionate about or know about, you can write a blog on it. From clothes and fashion to cleaning and cooking, the choices are endless. Or just start blogging about your life and your feelings.

You’ll Learn New Skills.

From SEO to web design, if you really get into it, you can learn so many useful skills from blogging. There is so much free information online to help you get started too, and then you really can take it as far as you want. You can either keep your blog as a little place for you and just tell your friends and family to read it, or if you take the time to learn about it, you could try and monetize your blog and make it into a career. This will take time, though, but there’s no reason it can’t happen.

You’ll Make New Friends.

At a time when you can’t go out and meet new people, blogging is a great way to make new friends. Bloggers are online, they are all over social media, and there is a great community out there from all over the world. Just get started, start following other bloggers and interact with them. Most of the bloggers have only ‘met’ each other online and have created some fabulous friendships and collaborations because of it.

You Have The Time

Now more than any other time in your life, you have the time to dedicate to a blog. Whether it’s setting up a new one and getting it going or focusing on your already established blog and giving it the attention it needs, you have the time and the resources, so get going.
