I’m super excited to share a brand that I stumbled upon called My Bag, My Story and had to share them with everyone that I know as this is a cause that means everything to me. My Bag, My Story is a non-profit organizatin that is working to improve the lives of children in foster care and they’re doing this by providing them with high-quality bags that look amazing! My Bag, My Story is a heartfelt initiative that brings light to the painful truth faced by many children in foster care. As these children move from one temporary home to another, their possessions are often carried in a trash bag and to me that is unacceptable. That is where My Bag, My Story comes in…. because for every bag purchased, they donate a high-quality, durable bag to a foster child. These bags are more than just practical as they’re symbols of support and recognition, affirming the inherent value and worth of every child in the foster care system. “I started My Bag My Story after becoming a foster parent and watching children always having their belongings in a trash bag or grocery sack or nothing. Everyone kept saying this was normal. I said it doesn’t have to be normal, so I set out to have bags made for kids,” said Cara Finger, Founder of My Bag My Story. “Having a bag to call your own instead of a trash bag gives a child dignity and makes them feel valued. A bag seems so small but makes a huge difference in their foster care experience. Making a child feel like they are worth more than trash is so important to me.“

I find her story so beautiful and I love that she started My Bag, My Story to make a difference.  What is not to love…I get a beautiful bag to use and by making that purchase… a child in need does too. That is a beautiful thing and the biggest reason that I wanted to be a part and share with everyone that I know.
