MY REVIEW
Glow in the Dark: A Streak of Light is a fabulous read for ages 8 + and in all honesty….. I absolutely adore this book! I actually had a difficult time putting this book down, which speaks volumes, as it grabs you in instantly and keeps you engaged throughout. I just had to know what was going to happen next and I love books that pull me in like that. Glow in the Dark: A Streak of Light, did not disappoint and the best part is that it provides readers with the perfect mix of fantasy and adventure all while being an educational read of sorts too. The main character in this book is Ruby, who is a fun and sassy fifth grader that goes on a fabulous space adventure in the sparkling world of Starland. Ruby is able to magically travel to Starland after being given a gift from her grandmother and it’s a super special dreamcatcher that her grandmother said was destined for Ruby. That makes this gift extra special to Ruby and it is not only beautiful but it is what allows her to travel outside of Earth and to the mesmerizing land of Starland and also to The Aura Embassy. Here she learns more and more about why she is there and the effects that humans have on Starland and so much more. Without giving too much away…..I can tell you that this is a fabulous book. If you love reading…. this is the book for you. I love the way the author wrote this incredible book as it’s amazingly detailed which is everything to me. This detailed writing style allows me to actually visualize the scenes in the book perfectly and to feel as if I am transported there myself and to me that is what a good book is all about. It is an escape of sorts and a must have addition for your child’s book collection. Grab your copy today and I will for sure be reading all of the books in this incredible series from author T.J. Scripps!
