Things You Do Everyday That Hurt Your Mental Health

There are certain habits that most of us fall into at some point or another that are actually causing us to be less happy in the stage of life that we are in right now. It is not a pleasant thing to sit there with and think about too much, but it is the reality of the world that we live in currently, and we should be trying to do what we can to change the way in which we live our day-to-day lives in order to keep ourselves away from the activities that we know will cause us to have a more negative outlook on things.

Talkspace is a platform that provides people with the access that they need to licensed and trained therapists who can help them with all of life’s little issues. Today, we want to take a look at some of the ways that we might be sabotaging ourselves and causing ourselves to need to turn to Talkspace in the first place.

Spending Too Much Time On Social Media

It has become almost trendy to say that spending too much time on social media leads to unhappiness, but that does not make it any less untrue. It turns out that you can read on plenty of Talkspace reviews about people who have made it a habit to eliminate or at least significantly reduce the amount of time that they spend on social media. They tend to find that getting themselves away from social media makes their real life experience that much more grand. In other words, a person can better live life if they are not constantly comparing their own life to that of others and are instead just trying to get the most out of it possible.

Complaining About Minor Irritations

While it is good to talk to someone when problems get too big for you to handle on your own as many Talkspace reviews can attest to, it is also not a great idea to necessarily complain about every little thing that may be going on in your life. The minute that you start to set yourself up for talking about every little problem that is happening to you right now is the moment that those issues start to feel bigger than they really are. The concept of making a mountain out of a molehill is true when it comes to daily irritations.

Drinking Caffeine Before A Commute

You might think that heavy traffic makes you anxious and uptight, but it might just be that caffeine that you are swigging down before you get in the traffic in the first place. If that is the case, then you might want to forego some of your caffeine habits altogether and simply drive to work with just some breakfast and water in your system. This might help take some of the stress out of that morning traffic for you after all. You just have to stick to it religiously to make sure that it continues to work for you.

These do sound like excellent suggestions, how easy it is to get into a habit. I was just thinking today, in fact, how once you change a habit that you think is hard to do, you will forget you were in that rut! These are good habits to establish!

Thank you for sharing. We love our coffee all day long. I guess we need to try and cut down. Thank you for sharing.

These are all very true. I definitely believe that too much social media can skew your view and appreciation of your own life.
