Delicious Carolina Slaw Dogs are grilled to perfection and topped with a delicious homemade beef chili made as spicy as you like it and then topped with cool and creamy cole slaw! It is so delicious and one of my moms favorite ways to enjoy a hot dog which is why I share it with my family & friends. Top with some diced red onion too for an added crunch and flavor profile that is delicious.

Ingredients
For The Homemade Beef Chili
For The Cool & Creamy Cole Slaw
Instructions
  1. Step 1: Make The Creamy Cole Slaw: Whisk together the vinegar, sugar, mustard and salt. Mix well until sugar is dissolved. Add the mayonnaise and whisk until incorporated then add in the cabbage and carrots. Mix to combine and place in the fridge while you heat the grill, get your Chili going & grill the dogs.
  2. Step 2: Pre-Heat the grill for your hot dogs.
  3. Step 3: While you are heating up the grill you can get the Homemade Beefy Chili going. Brown the Ground Beef in medium or large pot. Once browned… add all of the seasonings and mix well. Once the spices are incorporated, pour in the chicken broth. Mix well so that the meat is coated perfectly with the spices and broth and break up the meat well as you want to ground beef to be broken down into tiny pieces. Add the tomatoes, reduce the heat to medium and let simmer while you cook the hot dogs.
  4. Cook the Ball Park Beef Franks to your liking…. my families loves them cooked well with a bit of char.
  5. Create your Carolina Slaw Dogs! Place a hot dog in a bun, top with chili, creamy cole slaw, diced onion, ketchup & mustard as you like it and that is it! Enjoy!
Recipe Notes

As always… you can tweek and change to your liking. You can also use chili packets available in the spice aisle instead of all of the spices listed for the chili recipe, but I personally love using my own combination of spices as it tastes delicious plus I can control exactly what is going into my food.
