I am so excited that the nice weather is finally here and that Summer is literally a few weeks away as I love spending time outdoors as well as entertaining and grilling delicious meals for my family and friends. I recently took advantage of the Tyson Summer Savings going on at Sam’s Club as they are my go to for so many of the necessities that my families needs and I was seriously looking for an excuse to fire up the grill and make my families favorite hot dog recipe…. Carolina Slaw Dogs using Ball Park® Beef Franks.

Sam’s Club has all of my families grilling favorites from Tyson such as Ball Park Beef Franks, Hillshire® Smoked Sausage, and Tyson® Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts all in club size packages that makes preparing for warm weather grilling that much easier. Sam’s Club is my “go-to” for my families grilling essentials & they are perfect for families and anyone that loves entertaining PLUS there are so many benefits to being a Sam’s Club member such as Club Pickup where you can order online and pick up at your club, Scan & Go where you can pay from your phone and skip the checkout line for a faster shopping experience and Instant Savings in which you can get extra offers on tons of already low prices.

I took advantage of Instant Savings on Ball Park Beef Franks at Sam’s Club for $1.50 off each pack right now through 6/02. Ball Park Beef Franks are perfect for my families favorite hot dog recipe for Carolina Slaw Dogs which are everything as you have the delicious homemade Beef Chili which you can make as spicy as you like… topped with creamy cool Cole Slaw and a bit of diced red onion. It’s a Carolina tradition that my family loves so grab the recipe below & Get to grilling!

  1. Step 1: Make The Creamy Cole Slaw: Whisk together the vinegar, sugar, mustard and salt. Mix well until sugar is dissolved. Add the mayonnaise and whisk until incorporated then add in the cabbage and carrots. Mix to combine and place in the fridge while you heat the grill, get your Chili going & grill the dogs.
  2. Step 2: Pre-Heat the grill for your hot dogs.
  3. Step 3: While you are heating up the grill you can get the Homemade Beefy Chili going. Brown the Ground Beef in medium or large pot. Once browned... add all of the seasonings and mix well. Once the spices are incorporated, pour in the chicken broth. Mix well so that the meat is coated perfectly with the spices and broth and break up the meat well as you want to ground beef to be broken down into tiny pieces. Add the tomatoes, reduce the heat to medium and let simmer while you cook the hot dogs.
  4. Cook the Ball Park Beef Franks to your liking.... my families loves them cooked well with a bit of char.
  5. Create your Carolina Slaw Dogs! Place a hot dog in a bun, top with chili, creamy cole slaw, diced onion, ketchup & mustard as you like it and that is it! Enjoy!
Recipe Notes

As always... you can tweek and change to your liking. You can also use chili packets available in the spice aisle instead of all of the spices listed for the chili recipe, but I personally love using my own combination of spices as it tastes delicious plus I can control exactly what is going into my food.
