Instructions
  1. First, using a mixing bowl, beat your eggs and add a bit of cream or milk to lighten the egg batter. Add cinnamon to taste and continue mixing until well incorporated.
  2. Have your 8 slices of bread ready to go next to your egg mixture. Just basically set up your french toast station for the cooking process.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet to medium or medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon butter.
  4. Dip 2 slices of the bread into the egg mixture letting each side of bread absorb a bit of the mixture. Do not let it sit too long or the bread will fall apart.
  5. Add the 2 slices to the pan and cook on medium for a few minutes on each side. Just keep an eye out to ensure it is cooked perfectly. It really depends on your cook top and the heat and temperature.... so just watch it.
  6. Once browned and cooked on each side.... put onto the a serving plate.... add a few berries if desired and sprinkle with a bit of powdered sugar.
  7. Continue steps 3 to 6 until all slices are created and cooked to perfection. Simply delicious and one of Madison's favorite breakfasts of all time!
  8. Serve with pure, delicious maple syrup and you will be in heaven!
Recipe Notes

Remember... this is perfect with a side of scrambled eggs (or however you like them), bacon, sausage, fresh fruit..... whatever you like! Great to add to a breakfast buffet as well. Hey.... what about breakfast for dinner.

You can even do stuffed varieties of french toast...maybe some bacon inn the middle with a smidge of cheese...... who knows..... experiment away but keep in mind that the eggs make the meal... so use Nellie's Free Range Eggs for the best results. Try them once and you will taste the difference for sure. That is my honest and real experience.
