I am excited to share a recipe with you all that incorporates one of my favorite things (aka… the doughnut) into a delicious and healthy snack option that is packed with the wonderful health benefits of Matcha Green Tea. Matcha Kari is my go to brand as their Superior Matcha is the finest organic green tea powder available, carefully selected for its sweet, rich flavor and deep natural green color which looks amazing in this yummy recipe.

Matcha Green Tea Doughnuts with Almond Glaze
Super Yummy, Sweet & Delicious Doughnuts With A Hint Of Almond from the glaze with the wonderful addition of crunchy almonds. The matcha gives it a wonderful color.... enjoy!

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 12 cavity doughnut pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, Matcha Kari Organic Chef's Choice Matcha, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the milk, coconut oil, and vanilla. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and stir just until fully mixed and a thick batter forms.
  4. Using a piping bag or spoon... fill the batter into the doughnut cavities. Place the pan into the oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, until the tops spring back when lightly touched.
  5. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the doughnuts to cool completely by transferring to a cooling rack.
  6. While the doughnuts cool, stir the glaze ingredients together in a separate bowl. You can add a bit more milk to thin the glaze as needed or you can add more powdered sugar if it is too thin.
  7. When the doughnuts are cool, dip the top of each doughnut into the glaze, then sprinkle with almonds. Transfer to a plate and allow to rest until the glaze sets. Enjoy!
