Delicious Sausage Puttanesca Pappardelle ~ A Quick & Delicious Meal The Whole Family Will Love! #CucinaAntica

It has been a while since I have posted a new, tasty recipe on Deliciously Savvy and today I want to share a delicious recipe that is not only yummy but super easy to make any night of the week. Oh… and the best part is that it is kid approved. My kids loved this and I will definitely be making this again so continue reading to find out all the yummy details.

It is no secret to anyone that knows me, that I love to cook and I love to share my love of cooking with everyone that I know. That is why I am so excited to share another delicious recipe using Cucina Antica sauces and I am going rustic with this dish and the very best part is that it is a quick, delicious and healthy meal that you and your family will devour. This is Sausage Puttanesca Pappardelle and it is hearty and delicious. My family loves all things Italian, so I love creating new delicious dishes for them. I have been wanting to use homemade Pappardelle pasta for a delicious meal with my family and I figured this would be perfect for pairing with Cucina Antica’s Puttanesca Sauce, along with some fresh Italian sweet sausage. I was not disappointed as my family has asked that I make this again. The best part is that you can make this on a weeknight after work as it is quick and super easy to make. I only used 6 ingredients to create this dish and using the homemade Pappardelle pasta saves time as it only cooks for 2 to 3 minutes tops and dinner is done!

This recipe is so simple, but you will never know it from the explosion of flavor that it provides. This recipe uses a jar of Cucina Antica Puttanesca Cooking Sauce, 2 packages of fresh homemade Pappardelle [Can be found at your local grocers or an Italian market], a 1 pound package of fresh sweet Italian sausage [I get mine from a local Italian Butcher/Grocer] and some Romano Cheese and Parsley for finishing it off. You can serve this with a fresh salad and fresh Italian bread to complete the meal. That is it! Dinner was ready in 20 minutes, making it a time saver for sure.

I also have to share that I am proud to be a a brand ambassador for Cucina Antica, a company that has created cooking sauces, pasta sauces, salad dressings and condiments that are Non-GMO verified, gluten-free, and free of sugar and preservatives. I love that each and every jar is made with imported San Marzano Italian Plum Tomatoes which are known to be the best to chefs and home cooks alike. I also love that they make cooking sauces created with an artisanal method that leaves room for the home chef to truly create meals without the worry of their sauces becoming acidic from over-cooking. If you are looking for a delicious tomato cooking sauce with none of the sodium and sugar found in traditional jar sauces….then Cucina Antica is the way to go.

  1. Fill a large stockpot with water and add salt. Heat the pot on high until water comes to a boil.
  2. In the meantime, add the olive oil to a large deep skillet and heat on medium high.
  3. Once oil is shimmering add the sweet Italian Sausage. Remove the casing so that you are able to crumble it while cooking. Cook until sausage is cooked through and a bit crispy. That is how I like it, but you can cook however you prefer.
  4. Add 1 jar of Cucina Antica Puttanesca Cooking Sauce to the sausage and add a splash of water as well. Cook until well combined.
  5. Once your stockpot of water comes to a rolling boil, add your fresh Pappardelle Pasta to the pot of boiling water and cook for 2 to 3 minutes depending on how you like it. 3 minutes was perfect for me and the pasta was perfectly al dente.
  6. Drain the pasta once cooked and add to the skillet with the sausage and sauce and using tongs simply incorporate the pasta into the sauce so that the pasta is enveloped with the delicious goodness of that delicious sauce.
  7. Plate and sprinkle with cheese and some fresh parsley! Enjoy!
