It is no secret at all to anyone that knows me that I am a foodie and a big fan of all things food. One of my favorite things to eat has always been seafood as I was raised in South Carolina near the coast and seafood was something that we enjoyed regularly. I love all varieties of seafood and have since I was a little girl. One variety of seafood that I have a soft spot for are Chesapeake Bay crabs from Maryland as they are so sweet and delicious. I remember trying them for the first time when I was nineteen and living in Northern Virginia. My family and I had been invited to a friends house in Maryland to enjoy delicious Maryland Blue Crabs and to be honest I had no idea what I was in store for but the result was a super fun and delicious time. I remember being outdoors with my friends and family, surrounding a huge picnic table covered in newspaper and bushels of steamed Maryland crabs laid out in front of us. It was such fun digging into the crabs and I honestly have no idea how many I enjoyed but it seemed never ending. The thing about Chesapeake Bay crabs that separates them from other types of crabs or from blue crabs from other waters, is that they have to build up extra fat stores which gives them that sweet, buttery flavor that you will not find anywhere else. Maryland Blue Crabs make the best crab cakes and bisque too which are some other delicious ways to enjoy them.

Recently I received the Best Sellers Sampler from Cameron’s Seafood and decided to make my own seafood feast for my family to enjoy. The Best Sellers Sampler has so many delicious options included… 1/2 dozen #1 Male Chesapeake Blue Crabs, Two 4 ounce Maryland Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, 1 pound of Spiced Shrimp and 16 ounces of Crab Meat Bisque. Everything was packaged perfectly and was super cold upon arrival plus I love that everything was prepared in the morning and then shipped FRESH the same day. Once I received the box I simply unpacked the contents and put everything into the refrigerator immediately.

The Cameron’s Seafood Best Sellers Sampler is simply fabulous and super convenient because all you have to do is reheat and enjoy the steamed crabs, bisque and shrimp. I simply used a steamer basket for the shrimp and crabs and I reheated the bisque in a small pot on the stovetop. The crab cakes were easy to prepare too. I simply took them out of the containers, reshaped them as needed and then cooked them in a bit of butter in a pan on my stovetop. You can also cook the crab cakes in the oven and all off the items come with their own fact sheet so that you can reheat and cook them with ease. Plus if you prefer, you can enjoy the crabs and shrimp cold, right out of the refrigerator which is delicious too. Cameron’s Seafood definitely made it easy to enjoy my own seafood feast at home and the best part were the Maryland Blue Crabs that were so sweet and buttery and the fact that my family loved and enjoyed them as much as I did. This was definitely a family dinner that they will not forget and I will most definitely place another order for Cameron’s Seafood to be delivered to my home when my sister comes to visit around Thanksgiving.  She is just going to love it!
