4 of the World’s Most Expensive Holiday Destinations

While most of the world usually chalk out a budget before planning their next trip, there is a very small percentage of people in the world who don’t really have to and this list is dedicated to them. Not that the average tourist can’t visit these places, it’s just that unless your name happens to be Johnnie Cochran or Willie E. Gary, you might have to plan a lot more and save up before vacationing in any of these four locations.

Dubai, UAE

Abu Dhabi might be the capital of the United Arab Emirates, but Dubai is most certainly the more exotic vacation spot for people from all around the world. While it can be visited on a decent budget, you will have to shell out the big bucks if you really want to enjoy yourself in the city like it is meant to be enjoyed. From $20,000 per night hotel rooms to helicopter rides and yachting; Dubai has it all for the rich to have a good time. Even though going on vacation here may not be the cheapest, many people still opt to buy properties in uae, in the hopes of calling this place home one day.

Musha Cay, The Bahamas

All the eleven Exumas islands in the Copperfield Bay are posh destinations meant for a privileged few, but the Musha Cay takes the cake when it comes to being the most expensive one. You can rent the island at a price of $40,000/night and become the sovereign authority there for as long as you rent it (not really, but they will do their best to make you feel so!). You can bring an additional twenty-three guests with you to the resort, and they would be the only guests on the entire island. Aside from regular activities like sunbathing, swimming, fishing, diving, etc., you can also go on a treasure hunt if you want to, but it will cost you more!

Tuscany, Italy

There’s a reason as to why Tuscany isn’t on everybody’s list of must-visit places when they travel to Italy, and that reason has a lot to do with the fact that Tuscany is one of Italy’s most expensive holiday destinations that very few can afford to spend a lot of time in. The historic region is famous for its beautiful suites, which are like no other in the whole of Italy because they are actually century old villas that once belonged to the richest families in the area. Keep in mind that in spite of the price being pretty steep, the region is rural and the suites are not the most lavish ones that you can get for the price you pay.

Fregate, Seychelles

No island in Seychelles is exactly cheap, but the crown of being the most expensive and posh location goes to Fregate, which is a private resort island. In spite of being an extremely luxurious resort, the authorities are seriously concerned with the environment and take every effort possible to keep the local forests and animal habitats undisturbed, which in turn adds to what makes this island a living paradise for those that can afford to stay here. Windsurfing, hiking and spending time with giant tortoises are just some of the activities that you can enjoy here for a minimum accommodation cost of $1000+ per day.

A vacation spot should not really be judged by the associated costs and there are plenty of locations in the world which are stunning to behold but offer awesome facilities without the visitors having to break the bank. Nevertheless, if exclusivity and special treatment are what you are looking for, you just cannot go wrong with these five.
