I’ve been loving the Bacon Ranch with Crispy Buttermilk Chicken salad! It’s so filling and fresh. It’s nice to be able to go to McD’s and order something that doesn’t make you feel heavy and blah after eating. I get a full serving of veggies and some protein when I eat their yummy salads!

It looks really yummy, but I’m sure it would kill my carb count for the day (possibly several days!) .. Decided to go check it out.. Yep, this is what their website says about the nutritional facts:
    520 Calories
    25g Total Fat (39% DV)
    46g Total Carbs (15% DV)
    28g Protein

Thats a Lot of carbs AND calories (before any dressings) .. Thanks for the new info though, Love hearing about new products and services from your blog!

I totally hear you…. but if you choose the Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad…. it changes a bit. There are 350 calories, 12 grams total fat, 27 grams total carbs and a huge 37 grams of protein. I only advertised what I personally chose for my salad as far as that post goes, but they have grilled or crispy options and the grilled is definitely an improvement in the numbers. I just wanted to clarify because I chose the least healthy of the two options for my post…LOL and the grilled chicken is delicious as well as I have tried it before. And I love that the Artisan grilled chicken is made with 100% chicken breast filet with no artificial preservatives, flavors or colors. Thank you so much for hanging at Deliciously Savvy as I have read many of your fabulous comments and always appreciate them. 🙂

I like that I now have this healthier option at McDonalds, for when I am out during lunchtime.

Even McDonalds is trying to make us a little healthier. I like it. Now all we need is for a fast food restaurant to come up with a salad kids meal. No one has them and there are lots of children that like to eat vegetables. Its always surprised me just how many children like salads and raw veggies.

McDonalds salads are very good! Every once in awhile I will get one! That’s when I’m not eating a Big Mac and fries!! lol

  • Stefanie Hurtado

Those salads look like something you’d order at a sit-down restaurant. Great way to get some veggies in!

  • Ashley Chassereau Parks

I am happy to see places like McDonald’s moving toward more healthy products. I love salad… we are vegetarian, so we eat a lot of them! I haven’t been to McDonalds in a while though. I’ll have to check it out one day.

Good to know. I was just commenting about how Wendy’s salads had gone downhill near me. Glad to have another option. Thanks.

  • Cindy S.

Oh wow…so glad they are offering more salad options. Makes it nicer for me when the kids want to go for some Happy Meals! Yay!!!

  • Barbara Mayes

I love that they are moving to healthier options on their menu. However, until they come up with any that are gluten free, I will have to take a pass.

  • kathy pease

This salad looks so delicious..There is nothing better than a crisp salad on a hot summer day!

  • Jamie Johnson

I cannot eat fast food. But these salads are great ideas for how to make my own. I love the summer salads that have strawberries, blueberries, and nuts in them. And a raspberry vinaigrette! I love fresh, summer salads, but I work in restaurants, so I just can’t eat ANYTHING that comes from one! These look delicious! Is it lunch time yet lol?

  • donna porter

These salads look delicious and a healthy version for McDonald’s. I am going to try the Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad first.

  • Francine Anchondo
