Myrtle Beach is not only an amazing place to visit BUT it is an awesome place to live! I am not currently living in Myrtle Beach but I do have a condo there and we are going back this summer because we miss it terribly. We lived there for about 7 years (although I did grow up most of the remainder of my life near Charleston, SC) so I am a Carolina Girl through and through.

I have to say after living in both parts of SC, Myrtle Beach was by far the BEST place to live. They have fabulous schools and just so many family friendly events and festivals all year round and so much of it is free! It is a fabulous place and if you have never been you need to go! Not only that but the people are so friendly and amazing. It is a great community.

My Favorite Places To Go In Myrtle Beach:

1) Murrells Inlet (The Marsh Walk) Just a few minutes south of Myrtle Beach and the seafood capital of SC! My favorite place to spend time with the family.

At the Marsh Walk in Murrell’s Inlet you can walk along the long deck and visit the many amazing restaurants along the way and even walk up to the little bars for a drink. So amazing! Visit The Lazy Gator and Drunken Jacks while you are there too. Drunken Jacks has amazing fresh seafood!

2) Broadway @ The Beach (in the heart of Myrtle Beach) Great Family Destination and lots of fabulous restaurants too! I recommend Liberties Brew House ~ They have fabulous wings! They have Ripley’s Aquarium, MagicQuest, IMAX Theater, Miniature Golf, Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Celebrity Square with tons of clubs and bars, shopping, Wonderworks and more! The Hard Rock is a unique design and is built like a Pyramid!

Here is the Super Fun and Amazing Hard Rock Cafe! The only one built like a pyramid!

And some of the cool shops and the amazing atmosphere!

#3)Market Commons (This is one of my faves and is located a mile from my condo. I love it there as they have great shopping, movie theater and lots of restaurants. The Gordon Biersch Restaurant was my favorite and the garlic fries are to die for, as well as everything else!

Isn’t it gorgeous! This is just a small part of the amazing community! Above the amazing shops are gorgeous condos! They have Barnes & Noble, Victoria’s Secret, Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, Tommy Bahama, Dulce Lusso Salon & Spa, Soma Intimates, Bath & Body, Cold Stone Creamery, Chico’s, White House / Black Market, Orvis, Lazy Gator, City Mac, and an Amazingly Gorgeous and Unique Upscale Piggly Wiggly! I love shopping there.

#4) Tanger Outlets (2 locations) PLUS Coastal Grand Mall ~ Enough said, great shopping!

Coastal Grand Mall ~ Fabulous Shopping that provides an amazing shopping experience plus some delicious eateries as well.

The Tanger Outlet off of 501 ~ Awesome Deals!

The Tanger Outlets In North Myrtle Beach ~ Fabulous stores and great shopping.

#5) Brookgreen GardensOne of the Myrtle Beach area’s most dearly loved attractions, Brookgreen Gardens’ combination of art, history, and zoo touches the heart and teaches the mind. Boat rides turn into history lessons and a visit to the butterfly house becomes a lesson in conservation.

Brookgreen Gardens & Beach 107

Gorgeous Isn’t It? I love the historical nature of this gorgeous garden. Lots of rich history like so many beautiful places in South Carolina. I love the Spanish Moss on the oaks! Here is a pic of us in Brookgreen Gardens.

Maddie was a bit younger here as were we! LOL!   #6) Atalaya Castle (Near Huntington Beach State Park) – Fabulous place to visit and right on the beach too! Gorgeous Pics as well.
