A Frequently Asked Question With Laser Tattoo Removal

Tattoos are much more popular than they ever were but this does not mean that people make great choices. Since there are many that get a tattoo they eventually regret, tattoo removal is also gaining popularity. Laser technology did evolve to the level at which results are pretty good but the procedure is not properly understood by many. While there are many questions you might have about this process, we will now answer those that often appear with services offered by Tattoo Removal Seattle.

White Frosting – What Is It?

During laser tattoo removal you will notice the appearance of white frosting. It is there because of plasma or gas that is formed while skin pigment is rapidly heated. Carbon dioxide will be released during laser penetration. It will then surface on the skin’s upper layer. That creates the substance that resembles white frosting. With most laser tattoo removal processes we have this white frosting appearing to up to 30 minutes after a treatment is done. The side effect is temporary and completely normal. As the patient has more ink removed, the frosting tends to be less and less.

White frosting will not look that great but the fact that it appears is actually something that is normal and good. The reaction basically means that lasers effectively penetrate ink. It is also a clear sign that the body heals fast and reacts properly. There are different types of tattoo removal, including Picosure tattoo removal with PressureWave technology and RevLite with Q-Switch technology.

Other Side Effects To Be Aware Of

Every single person’s body is going to react in a different way to the laser tattoo removal procedure. Most people having a tattoo removed will ask “how bad does tattoo removal hurt?” but again, each person will have a different pain threshold. However, it will hurt to some degree. Here are some of the common side effects you can expect include:

  • Blistering – This indicates that the body started to heal. You should not worry about the blisters. Even if they can be quite tender, they will disappear in up to 2 weeks.
  • Swelling – The body has natural defenses. They will surely kick in when laser is used. That means that you should expect swelling. Do not concern yourself with this as it will disappear.
  • Scabbing – During the period between 8 and 72 hours after the laser treatment procedure is done, scabs can appear. Peeling or picking them will drastically increase scarring risks. It is very important that you let the scabs fall off naturally.
  • Discomfort – It is quite normal to experience some level of discomfort. However, this is normally going to be dependent on the location of the tattoo. Itching will also happen. However, the sensation is similar to how it feels like when you get the tattoo done initially.

Laser tattoo removal will vary from one individual to the next. It also depends if you get your laser tattoo removal in New York City, London, Rome etc. Tattoo removals are easily accessible but the tools required in removal of the tattoo may vary and the doctors removing the tattoos may take different approaches. This is all normal. This is basically the most important thing that you have to remember. Because of this, we recommend that you talk with the specialist first. They will run some tests and will analyze your tattoo. That will help since they will tell you exactly what to expect, which is the most important thing at the end of the day. The professional is going to tell you what side effects you can expect so nothing will be a surprise.

Oh gosh, I think it would be awful to have to remove a tattoo. Better to think hard before you even get one! Still, I think that these methods are a great improvement.

I think it’s great they have a way to remove the tattoo. I can’t even decide what jewelry I like to wear, much less what tattoo I want to brand myself with, lol. Some people do have some very interesting ones though. I imagine it’s painful getting and removing them.
